2002/bed
Pick up your bed
and walk,
begin even if
you don’t know
when you may
lie down again.
When it is time
to pick it up,
you must pick
it up.
When you have
picked it up
you must begin
to walk.
We fail ourselves
in believing knowledge
of outcome precedes
act.
Pick up your bed.
If you are too weary
to pick it up,
leave it behind.
Walk.
Sleep on the ground.
That is what
it is there for.
Walking.
Sleeping.
Sitting.
Listening to birds,
waiting to know
where to go.
