(arrogance)

In youth
I vowed
one thing
my life
would not be
given over to
was line break.
Arrogance
is its
own reward.
Now I find
myself
saying
how interesting
it is to think
about.
Someone else’s
that is.
My lines
I like to leave
to their own
devices,
lest I go nuts
thinking
about them,
so that they
never
come at all.
