Bed changed, sheets outside to dry.
Dust ruffle removed for washing.
Saturday morning after a thunder
storm in the night.
We rarely have them.
Too bad I didn’t know to skip
yesterday’s big watering.
We’re grateful, after three days
with temperature near a hundred.
I feel I may survive
for a few days more.
Still I drink my green tea iced.
Do all the chores before 8 a.m.
And wait.
